Summary
“Buck,” he seethes louder, fighting to free himself while the wet shine of Buck’s eyes threaten to get swallowed up by darkness. The image of them wide with terror is imprinted vividly on the back of his eyelids. “Buck, move, we have to get out of here.”
“Eddie—” Buck starts, finally something, but then Eddie is gasping from the sudden constriction around his wrists. They’re tight, cutting off his circulation until his arm goes white, the skin of his hands ballooning from the pressure. His tendons flex tautly in screaming protest.
“Ah—” he hisses, gritting his teeth together, neck snapping downwards when there’s another touch at his legs. It’s hard to make sense of in the darkness, but he can just make out the shape of something coiling around each thigh, inky black and smooth as oil. The only helpful word his brain supplies: tendrils.

Summary
When Robby accidentally sees a list of things Dennis has yet to try, he doesn't expect 'sex' to be on the list right under 'watch a Marvel movie.' As it turns out, he can help the man with at least one of those, and he's never been one for Marvel movies.
It starts, as most good things do, small. Just a jotted word or two in Trinity’s notes app, filed under the header: MHBT: (things to) Make HuckleBerry Try. Whenever her roommate doesn’t get a reference or says he’s never tried something, onto the list it goes.
Here’s the thing: there’s just so much that Dennis, despite turning 30 next year, hasn’t tried, or hasn’t heard of. And since she’s only going off the random moments of confusion Dennis will have throughout the day, there are times she has to pull out her phone at work. If they worked in an office, maybe she would simply jot a few on a sticky note. Then again, who even uses paper anymore? -

Robby's attention shifted, as it often did recently, to Whitaker. He stood outside room sixteen, shoulder to shoulder with Santos. Santos leaned closer to him and whispered something that made Whitaker erupt in bright laughter.
Robby’s heart warmed, but a familiar and ugly feeling coiled in his gut. He placed his hands on his hips and stared at the pair.
