Goodbye hovers on his tongue. It’s the least that Neil deserves from him. There are so many more things to be said.
Andrew shuts his phone without leaving a voicemail. He drops his phone onto the counter and slips a knife out of its sheath.
Right before spring break during his fourth year at Palmetto, Andrew Minyard attempts suicide. Now everyone has to figure out how to move forward from here.

this really really hurt to read but it also felt so good to see the rallying that people did for andrew
