“Never did that, ya must’ve gotten me mixed up.”
“A room with one bed.” Mayor continues.
Wolfwood scowls. “Nah, I don’t even like men. Much less blondes.”
“And then you leveled thirty people.”
Do they have to keep going back to that? “I’ve never fired a gun in my life.”
Wolfwood gets captured. 3 Days.

Without a word, Wolfwood stepped into Vash’s room, closing the door behind himself. He heard the automatic lock engage, the same soft whirr that the one in his room made, but it was quiet, lost under the sound of his own pulse tripping with the way Vash boxed him in against the door.
“Missed you.”Maybe it's the honeymoon phase, maybe it's just the thrill of sneaking around. There's something about Vash saying he missed him after only an hour that gets Wolfwood's pulse thumping.

Milly hands Vash something small and cylindrical, glinting a dull brass in the morning light. For one remarkably stupid second, Wolfwood thinks it's a bullet - despite the fact Milly doesn't carry bullets, that thing is far too big even for Vash's monster of a .45 caliber, and neither Milly nor Vash would ever get that excited over a weapon.
They chatter for a moment, unaware of Wolfwood watching them. Vash pulls at the cylinder, revealing a lid. There's a stick of something red and greasy underneath.
Oh, Wolfwood realises with a start. It's a tube of lipstick.
Vash starts experimenting with lipstick. Wolfwood is exceedingly normal about it.

The air around Gunsmoke never had any particular give to it- hot, dry, unyielding in this place they sometimes referred to as No Man’s Land. If you wandered too far from the many fans in the city of July, you would feel it scrape over your skin, steal into your lungs and remind you of where exactly you were, how little relief you had from the desert wind.
Then again, maybe he wasn’t the best judge of conditions when he was like this.

Nick knew that Vash trusted him with his life; that hadn’t ever been a question - even when it should have been. So Nick had never taken offense to Vash’s inability to let his guard down; he probably even understood it on a far deeper level than most. Vash had been hunted for well over a century; anyone would be jumpy after that long on the run. Especially knowing what- or who it was that hunted him. The fact that Vash trusted him at all was already far more than Nick deserved.
So to have Vash spread out in his lap like he’d been for the last hour, pliant and whimpering? Nick wasn’t going to waste a second of it.
