Summary
Alternate ending season 3: Steve and Hopper have been captured by the Soviets, and Hopper is getting desperate. How the heck can he get Steve out of there, before their plight gets even worse? And if/when, Hopper fails, how can he possibly protect Steve from the inevitable horrors... let alone pick up the pieces in the aftermath?
Follows on from the first one-shot, continuing their story right through (can be read standalone, if you wish.) Once again, not slash or romance between these two. The focus is on platonic (or quasi father/son) bonding amid epic amounts of whump, angst and hurt/comfort.
