Summary
While there are exceptions to every rule, it is generally considered a fact that putting two alphas in a room together, when one or both are in rut, is asking for someone to be killed in a rut induced act of violence.
This is common knowledge.
So, when Boston's Head Dynamics Specialist discovers they've put Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov into the same quarantine room after a mass rut inducing incident, there is a lot to be concerned about.

Megan snorts.

"Oh my god." Jack groans, flopping back against the sofa and jamming the palm of his hand into one of his eyes. "Okay, new tactic seeing as though we unfortunately cannot neuralyze each other ,though I god damn wish. Radical idea, for the next five minutes we're completely and genuinely honest with each other, without fear of what we say or ask, okay? Because I don't want to lose you over a picture of my cunt and a thumbs up. I can't have that Robby. That's not acceptable to me."

Summary
“I’m- I can’t convince myself to commit to a longer stay,” Robby admits, frustrated by it. “It’d be better for actually getting somewhere with antidepressants, I know, but I feel like once I take away the work and the bike and everything else I do… there’s a clock on how long I can be naked like that. When it runs out, if I’m not back on the right side, I’ll get stuck as nothing, forever.” Robby drops his face into his hand. “Why does this sound like The Little Mermaid?” he moans.
“Is this the kind of place where they throw a black bag over your head and smash your SIM card, or can I still talk to you?” Jack asks.
~After a scare on his road trip, Robby does two weeks of inpatient care in Wisconsin... and you'll never guess who he uses his phone time on~

Bookmarker's Notes
Truth be told, it’s Robby who can’t stand to be away any longer than he has to be. His mind is made up, and now he just needs to make the rest of himself presentable. He flies through the motions of a shower, a shave, and an extra tooth brushing before he realizes the rather aromatic floral arrangement on the bathroom counter is not a fixture placed by the hotel. It’s soaking in a Yeti rambler. A pair of handsome sunflowers set in eucalyptus sprigs, wrapped in gilded edged paper with a little card to match.

Summary
After a difficult day at the Pitt where they had to navigate another major catastrophe, Robby finds Jack on the roof on the right side of the railing, but with an ultimatum that knocks the wind out of his sails. Robby has to work out what he can do to stop the one thing that really matters to him from derailing.
“I can’t keep doing this…” Jack says quietly.
“Doing what?”
The night shift attending makes a small, tired motion between them, one finger wagging vaguely in the cold air. “This. It’s not fair man.”

Bookmarker's Notes
Robby stares up at the stars. For years he has become accustomed to uncertainty. Emergency medicine teaches you to live with incomplete information and to make decisions without guarantees. This feels infinitely harder, because there’s no protocol for it, no correct answer, it’s not an exact science.
It’s Jack Abbot. -

Summary
The apartment is dark and Robby is squinting in the weak light that spills in from the hallway, mouth slack, cheeks pink, clearly just awoken from sleep. He is wearing a plaid flannel bathrobe, the white fleece lining the inside of the collar lumpy and matted from being washed too many times. The robe hangs open, revealing Robby’s hairy chest and the pale curve of his belly, his dark-colored boxer shorts.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Yeah, you’re right,” Robby says archly, “if I were well-adjusted I’d listen to the police scanner for fun.”
“At least shit happens on that,” Jack counters.
“Exactly!” Robby says. “Aren’t you tired of shit happening? Don’t you want to relax, secure in the knowledge that they’ll never actually find Bigfoot?”
That’s actually a good point, though Jack will never admit it to Robby.
