His Daddy doesn't let him put the can down until the last drop is gone. By the time he sets it on the floor by his feet, the whole world is spinning and his limbs feel heavy as lead. He looks towards his Daddy, finding the man with a hand outstretched to him. He takes it gratefully, offering his other hand when his Dad makes the motion to pick him up. A part of Dean assumes that they're going to bed, but his Dad only sits him in his lap. He says nothing, so Dean doesn't ask to go to bed just yet. This is nice, anyways.
After a few minutes of silence, Dad watching tv while son drifts to sleep in his arms, the older man begins to rock his leg up and down. The movement jostles Dean, but he doesn't wake.Bookmarked by bpbabe
