Tim was never meant to be Robin. He knew that- he was just a stand-in, someone to be used until Batman was better or another Robin came along- he wasn't family. So, he hid his identity from everyone. No one knew who the third Robin was, not even Batman. Why is it, then, that the Waynes so interested in Timothy Drake? And why now, of all times?
OR: The Batfamily have been trying to lure Agent C back into the family ever since he ran away. It's a slow-going process. In the meantime, Damian has latched onto Timothy Drake, and is teaming up with Dick to try and adopt him. Whether he wants to be adopted or not.

Danny’s shoulders slumped and he slowly floated over to Plasmius like a chastised child dragging his feet.
Plasmius's smile was full of smugness and condescension as he held out a hand toward Danny. “See? Not so hard-”
He was cut off abruptly, eyes screwing shut just in time for a cold sensation to flush over his face, followed by the distinct smell of paint.
Danny cackled so hard he tilted backward, his bright white hair flaming brighter, “Oh man! I can’t believe you fell for that!” He crowed.

Summary
Tim messed up, now he needs to fix it. He hurt his parents’ chances with one business partner, now he needs to help his parents with a different business partner. The fact that he gets hurt in the process has never been an issue. Then the “different business partner” turns out to be the Red Hood, AKA, the reason Tim hasn’t been allowed out as Robin for a month. That might be an issue.

Summary
A creature roams the streets, it is small and dirty.
Its long fur is tangled into mats and it flinches from the roaring cars, memories of cold and putrid water spraying onto it coming to mind.
Padding gently along the side of the road it leaves no more than a small impression in muddied parts of the walkway.
Chitters and screeches come from its maw and people swerve around it, sparing a few glances and wincing away at the unbecoming sight.
There is a collar around the creature's neck, covered with loose threads and dyed a solid blue. A small bell that is rusty and no longer sings aloud with every movement dances along the fabric.
A name is engraved onto a metal bone, it spells out letters that the animal cannot read.
The scene is reminiscent of a corpse that has been forgotten and is now unrecognisable, the only difference seeming to be that this one is still alive. If only barely.
Or, Feral!Tim getting adopted by Jason as RedHood au :)

Surrounded by Birds and Bats and farther away from home then he can truly comprehend, will Atsushi be able to survive the hellhole that is Gotham and its eccentric night-time residents?

"I'm not sure, Jason. This might be something personal," Dick looks worried but also intrigued.
"Maybe it's a recording the kids' parents made," Jason shrugs.
"Could be," Dick concedes as he plugs the small device into the screens and settles back to watch.

Tim Drake had always wanted a big brother. When he was younger, he imagined what they would be like. The looks were just Robin, his idol. His object of worship. Dick's smile and affectionate hugs. Jason's protective passion. (Through his camera lens he could imagine himself in that spot, taking that space and receiving those gifts. He wasn't a stranger they didn't know. He could imagine-) Tim wanted someone to make him feel less lonely.
He got a monster instead.

The monster is used to giving, he was forged to uphold a family. Bearing weights that would have made a lesser soldier crack. He wasn't used to receiving something in return.
