Summary
Eventually, Edward decided to leave the sanctity of the wallpaper, venturing towards the punch bowl for a refill. However, as he did so, he was unfortunate enough to walk directly into a young woman who stumbled right in front of him, having seemingly been jostled by the tight crowd around her. He spilled the remains of his drink all down the front of her dress, and she gave a soft cry of dismay. Edward froze, quite startled and put out. (It did not occur to him that if he had been an outsider to this accident, he would be stifling his laughter at the tableau of a gaping young man and a stained lady.)
“Oh, no,” the young woman said plaintively, looking down at the red stain even now spreading across her dress - white muslin, of course it had to be white muslin. “My dress - how could you? Sir, you must be more careful!”
Her words were scolding, but her voice was sweet and melodious by nature. And, once Edward looked upon her face properly, he was struck by her beauty.

Summary
There were few worse ways to lose your virginity than stranded in the middle of the woods, in a cave full of dirt, with a shixiong who you barely knew and didn’t care for. There was probably no creature more despicable than Yue Qingyuan for putting Liu Qingge in such a situation.
But there was no other choice. Between Liu Qingge and Yue Qingyuan, Yue Qingyuan was the elder of the two of them; it was him who would have to make the right choice even if there were no choices. If Liu Qingge hated him after this, Yue Qingyuan was willing to take responsibility for that, too.

Summary
“... Come closer,” she finally says at the end, holding her hand out to him. “Let me inspect you.”
Shen Qingqiu hesitates - he has told no one where he went. If she were to pull some trick on him… But Madame Meiyin is well known for her palm readings, and she seems quite serious. Clutching Xiu Ya’s hilt tightly with one hand, he approaches and lets her take the other.
After a long moment, Madame Meiyin sobers even more, the last of her playful amusement fading entirely.
“Child, how are you even alive?” she asks him in horror.
Shen Qingqiu scowls, snatching his hand back from her. “This master did not come for a lecture. If you know what is wrong, then--”
“I most certainly know what is wrong,” she says. “You have been starving for your entire life!”
