    Summary

Dr. Watson contemplates the future of his career as the end of his year's suspension grows ever-nearer. With surgery no longer an option available to him, he begins to explore other options.
Meanwhile, Holmes investigates a curious case of a promiscuous iconoclast and his apparent crusade to destroy any visage of the great Napoleon.

    Summary

When Holmes' birthday present to Watson goes awry, Watson demands a moratorium on deductions for the rest of the day. Not content with this, Holmes makes a most interesting counter-offer: he will introduce Watson to someone better at deduction than he, his own brother.

    Summary

"This could have waited until the morning."
"No, Mycroft! No, it couldn't," Sherlock barks.
Mycroft does so hate when he insists upon the shouting. The volume is quite unnecessary. But he knows from a lifetime of past arguments that reminding Sherlock of this will only get him more shouting, so he says nothing.
"You killed that man, Mycroft. We need to talk about it."
Mycroft sighs again, heavier this time. Short-sightedness has always been one of his brother's most frustrating flaws.
"I did not kill him. That is a gross misrepresentation of the facts. You should know better than to stoop to hyperbole," Mycroft chastises. He knows the condescension will win him no favours, but he is feeling tired and irritated, so he indulges in a little wanton emotionality.
"You placed an advertisement that informed his captors that people were onto them! You practically invited them to dispose of him," Sherlock growls in response.
"That is more accurate," Mycroft concedes.

This is a missing scene between Chapters 7 and 8 of Part 7 of my Bloodhound series (the GREE retelling w/in my canon rewrite). You probably should read it first for the contents of this argument to make sense.

    Summary

Nervous that his discovery of Holmes' drug abuse has ruined any chance at being brought along to any future cases, Watson finds himself overtaken by an abnormally difficult flare up. When Holmes states he cannot leave London to hunt for a missing aristocrat, Watson hesitantly agrees to go to Switzerland as his field agent and prove himself as a worthy assistant.

    Summary

A new case involving a strained marriage caused by a wife desperate to keep a secret from her husband forces Holmes and Watson to examine the nature of secrets, privacy, and trust- not only in the relationship of their client, but in their own partnership.

This is Part 5 of my Bloodhound series, an alternate-history, pseudo-steampunk audio drama adaptation of the Sholmes canon. This part deals with some plot points and conversations discussed in the previous part, so I would recommend reading that first.

When the costs incurred by their bullet-related vandalism of Mrs. Hudson's home come due, Watson must come clean about his greatest vice. Unfortunately for him, Holmes' latest case involves not only enmeshing themselves in the outcome of the Derby, but also investigating a place and a man that feature heavily in a rather dark time in his past.

    Summary

While trying to help his roommate manage an episode of mania, Dr. Watson learns of the first case of one Sherlock Holmes, and several of the secrets woven within the tale.

This is Part 2 of my series Some Observations upon Taming the Bloodhound, an alternate-history retelling of the Holmes canon in audio-drama script format. The last chapter deals heavily with some pretty important moments of canon-divergence that happen in Part 1, so I would recommend reading it first.

    Summary

In an alternate history England where the British Empire lost the second Anglo-Afghan war, Dr. John H. Watson returns to London with his spoils: PTSD, a prosthetic arm, a growing resentment towards British nationalism, and an almost empty bank account. Despondent and aimless, his life turns around when two momentous events occur on the same day: his psychologist prescribes him an exercise in meditation, where he is to narrate his thoughts in to a novel device called a Recordari; and his old buddy Stamford introduces him to a one Mr. Sherlock Holmes, a very intriguing man who is also looking for affordable quarters.
Before he knows it, Dr. Watson finds himself excited to be alive again, obsessively re-cording his very queer roommate, his very singular profession, and the bloody murder that is brought to their doorstep.
