A Tale of the Nine Tailed x Ghost Doctor Fanfiction

For mortals, time is a river that flows ever-forward. But for Lee Yeon, a thousand-year-old gumiho (nine-tailed fox), time is an invisible labyrinth that keeps bringing her back to the same point of regret: the tragic night six hundred years ago when she lost her younger brother, Lee Rang.
In 2026, fate plays tricks on Yeon once again. There, she meets Go Seung Tak—a spoiled, timid resident in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, born with a golden spoon in his mouth. Seung Tak can't hold a scalpel, is often possessed by the spirit of the genius doctor Cha Young Min, and most importantly: he has a face that looks exactly like Lee Rang.
Yeon is stunned. There's no fox scent, no spark of magical energy. The young man before her is just an ordinary mortal who doesn't know her at all.
Between the rational world of modern medicine and the magical world of the supernatural, Yeon vows to risk his immortality to protect his brother's new life.
Will the tangled and bloody threads of fate be successfully woven together peacefully?

Summary
Rang wasn't surprised to find Yeon depressed, alseep, and drugged out if his mind. Anger and disgust rose within his chest. His brother had thrown away his future all because of some human. With a smirk on his lips, Rang decided to enact some revenge whilst his brother remained so vulnerable.
Unfortunately for Rang, it was too late when he realised he'd fallen into a trap— and soon to face a lifetime of consequences.

Fate has often been described as the development of events outside of our control, predetermined by a higher or supernatural power. In this case, such a statement could be regarded as partially true— at least when it comes to the four fated heroes that this story pertains to.

Taluipa looked at Yeon, who was busy searching for his next target. She looked mournfully at Yeon and of the life he keeps ruining. First, for a girl and now for his brother.
"Yi Rang's reincarnation is non-negotiable."
It was probably the hundredth time Yeon was told this exact statement for the past few months; and the millionth time for the past two decades.
"Why is it so easy for you to ruin your life?"
Yeon pulled a paper from the board and pocketed it. "If you feel sorry for me then maybe you can help me and ask the higher-ups to consider Rang's reincarnation." He made a smug smile.
"That's non-negotiable."
Yeon rolled his eyes. "As always, I appreciate the warm welcome. I'll go now."
"-because. Yi Rang has already been reincarnated."
Yeon stopped in his tracks. "What?"
"20 years ago."
