Summary
It's about two hours later when Bruce starts to sneak away, accidentally waking Clark up. The room is silent and dark, a beautiful and peaceful darkness. Outside, Metropolis' night is no different, there's no intergalactic threat, no thugs out on the street, no Superman up on the sky, and no Batman lurking in the shadows either. Clark is too asleep to form a proper thought, so his immediate response to Bruce's escape attempt is to just place a steady hand on Bruce's bare hip, he gets closer and against his hair, he whispers: "Stay."
Bruce knows Clark's not expecting him to, after all, he had never stayed before, he always managed to get away and run off to his bittersweet crime-ridden streets. And he knows Clark won't hold him hostage, it's an honest plea, a silent prayer, a vow of stability, a solemn compromise Bruce was unexpectedly willing to take.
One word. Whispered. Only for him. "Okay."

"Clark’s hands settled tentatively on Bruce’s hips, and Bruce lowered his hands further into Clark’s waist before he started swaying slowly, his feet were not moving, yet he thinks that's okay, because they were just giving the image of two lovers that were way too into each other to properly dance.

“Hey, Jay,” Bruce greets as he enters the room, the TV is off, and it has been for a while, but silence has never been an issue for either of them, “Clark went to get some burgers.”
“Cool,” Jason says, without even attempting to lift his gaze off of his book.
“You, uhm, you like Clark, right? He’s nice to have around?”
“He’s annoying sometimes but yeah, I mostly like him, why?” Now his curiosity has been poked at, his eyes study Bruce’s face, wary.
“I asked him to marry me.”
Jason’s entire face shifts, as if he was going through the five stages of grief, his book suddenly not interesting at all, finally he blurts out: “What?!”or,
Clark and Bruce get engage, Jason does not approve.
