Summary
Rose Landry is shooting yet another X-Squad sequel in Montreal this month, and they planned her visit to Shane and Ilya's place in Ottawa ages ago; it's just a weird coincidence that Shane is out for a few games with a shoulder strain, and able to hang out with Rose tonight while Ilya's busy playing a home game against Dallas.
In which Rose and Shane drink a little too much wine on their girls' night, and Shane winds up with a face full of makeup. It would be a shame if Ilya came home unexpectedly and caught him looking like this!

Summary
Ilya is not going to steal Shane Hollander's dog. That would be illegal. And wrong. And someone would probably find out and make Ilya give him back.
So. Not stealing.
But there is nothing wrong with giving Chernysh all the pats and treats that he deserves, is there?
Nothing wrong with encouraging Chernysh to spend more and more time at Ilya's house until he doesn't even remember who Hollander is.
Because Hollander is stupid and boring and does not deserve a dog as good as Chernysh. No, he doesn't, does he? Because Chernysh is the best boy in the whole world, yes he is.

"And why is your hair so short? It should be long enough to tie back. You look...older." Shane asked quietly in a daze.
And Shane looked younger. He wore black trousers and a classic white shirt, unbuttoned.
Now that he paid more attention to him, his eyes looked a bit red. He hasn't cried yet, but was definitely upset enough to be close to it.
Suddenly, Ilya didn't give a fuck how he got here because Shane was obviously upset. And judging from the conversation he had with his Shane last night, he had an inkling if not how, he ended up here, at least why he was here.
Or 2017 Ilya, during the Cottage travels back to Vegas 2014 and gives Shane the kisses, care and comfort he deserved.
Or Ilya does get on his knees on a clean bathroom floor.
