    I tried to force myself to like it. The idea was so good. I have to drop it here though. There is no way that normal Zack is stronger than post Advent Children Cloud. That makes absolutely zero sense. This version of Cloud has killed Sephiroth like three separate times and just got back from Dissidia where he honed his skills even more. So for the Author to say “Zack is still a way better combatant than Cloud” is insane to me. Nothing Zack has ever done compares to Cloud’s feats and Cloud is also the chosen one of the entire world. You have to be a Zack glazer to say that he’s a way better fighter than Cloud. Nothing in the series has ever shown that to be true. I cannot suspend my disbelief that much. If you wanted Zack to be stronger than Cloud, you shouldn’t have given Cloud his Advent Children strength and abilities. That version of Cloud is ten times the fighter that Zack was. It is impossible for me to rationalize Zack being a way better fighter than level 99 Cloud.

    Five years after Nibelheim burned, Shinra is finally in flames too. After spending years on the run with only Zack, Cloud doesn't have any plans for the peace other than to support his friend as he reconnects with his girlfriend. At least until he goes over to Sector Seven and finds out he actually does want something more for himself.

    Mostly based on the Remake/Rebirth continuity, but elements from other FF7 games will be added if they work with the story. Just about every character shows up for at least a chapter or two, but I will flag that there's very little Sephiroth in this fic.

    Everything has already been written, so chapters will be released after they'e edited.

    Same exact problem as the other story where Subaru does not have his memories whilst the people who tortured and killed him all do. This has to be one of the stupidest story ideas ever so I don’t understand why multiple people wrote different stories with this same exact premise. Reading about someone who got tortured to death by people who supposedly love him and then those people just get a clean slate is absolute garbage. Why should any of these people get a second chance??? They just get to pretend that it’s not their fault he died in the first place?? Evil people should be punished not rewarded with another chance to act like nothing ever went wrong. It is also incredibly annoying to read about a clueless main character who should absolutely hate these people, but does not know any better because he doesn’t have his memories.

    I don’t understand why writers who use ai don’t even try to polish it any whatsoever. I do not need to see 3 dashes in every paragraph. That is the easiest tell of ai and yet authors don’t even attempt to change it at all. Every time you see a story with a dash in every sentence you automatically know it’s pure ai with basically zero human input. It would be way easier for authors to get away with pure ai stories if they just decided to delete the random dashes. Every time I have checked a story that has dashes in every sentence it always comes back as 90-100% ai so I do not understand why writers don’t get rid of that obvious tell and make it harder for the reader to find out that you did not write any of this story at all. You put a prompt into ai story generator and posted it verbatim with zero editing. Even if the story was any good the dashes would still be annoying to read and look at in every single sentence. If I wanted to read a completely robotic story in a weird format I would just put an idea into an ai prompt myself. It grinds my gears that you could not even be bothered to edit any of the story at all. You are not a writer in that case.
