He was a human rights lawyer, tried to be as good of a son as he could be, did not spend a day without texting his sister and made sure to always spare Nora some time when she needed fashion advice. Which was why, he later on argued with himself, he could not ignore the opportunity to help his (very nice, and very distressed) neighbour in the midst of a crisis.
Especially when said neighbour had a cute dog. It was all about the dog, really.—

They’ve witnessed enough of our screaming matches that I’m surprised they haven’t disowned us entirely or that they haven’t tried to sell tickets to the spectacle. Every time we’re together, it feels like a fight to the death.
Peeta’s not just a bully. He’s worse—he’s strategic, and observant. He knows just what to say, and knows exactly what people need to hear.
