Sanji’s breath hitched as he saw it—a figure, emaciated, skeletal, its skin stretched thin over bones. Its eyes—hollow, sunken, but glowing faintly—bored into him, and for the first time in a long time, Sanji felt real fear.

"What do you want?" Zoro's voice was gruff, a hint of irritation coloring his tone. He had already sensed something about the cook being off.
Sanji swallowed hard, his resolve waning with each passing second. "I... I need to talk to you," he managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper. Zoro's expression softened slightly, a flicker of concern crossing his features. "What is it, cook?" he asked, his voice gentler now, more cautious. Was something wrong?
Sanji took a deep breath, gathering his courage like armor against the impending rejection. "I need to tell you something," he began, his voice trembling with emotion. "Something I should have said a long time ago." -

So, here's the deal: It is not a lie if he simply doesn’t talk about it. Right? And he is not keeping it a secret because he wouldn’t mind if the others knew about it. He’d be cool with them knowing, honestly. It just so happens that they don’t. He will tell them, eventually.
He was just holding out for that perfect moment.
Sanji just would have preferred if the crew found out about it a bit later.
