Kaveh grits his teeth.
“I would really appreciate it if you would find a different tree to read under.”
The stranger looks up. There’s a sharpness in his gaze that almost makes Kaveh want to fidget. This man is clearly mortal. Kaveh can sense the soul in him, surprisingly soft when contrasted with the razor’s blade of his eyes.
“What’s your name?” the stranger asks. Kaveh, surprised by the question, responds without thinking.
“Kaveh.”
“Well, Kaveh,” he says, “I suggest you find a new tree.”
Kaveh, an immortal god, meets Alhaitham, a perfectly average scholar, and takes it personally.

He stared at the long, endless road ahead of him and couldn’t bring himself to look behind him. He had heard that voice too often in those four million and one cycles only to find they were nothing but delusions—of course. Of course. What else could they have been? What else could it be now? How could it be anything but his fractured mind trying to conjure some comfort he didn’t deserve in his final moments—
“You sure took your time getting here. Now you can’t even bring yourself to face me?”
After four million and one cycles, the very first Phainon finally passes the mantle of Khaslana onto the next Phainon. The Coreflames had both ravaged and sustained his body, and without them he crumbles to ash. When Amphoreus itself is a lie, the gentle West Wind and Sea of Flowers must be as well. So, that should be the end of his pitiful existence.
Instead, he wakes up in a library—Irontomb’s data archive of previous cycles. And there he reunites with the very first Mydei.

He opened his arms and the dismay vanished from Phainon’s face, grey clouds blown away to reveal the sun that had been obscured behind them. It would have been easy for him to lift his hand and bring Mydei up to his face but instead he leaned down to meet him.
Mydei’s entire world became pale skin ran through with gold and blue eyes imprinted with a coronal crown that shone upon Mydei alone. They beamed with a youthful exuberance, so unbecoming of Amphoreus’ grandest Titan and all the more endearing for it, as Mydei took Phainon’s face into his hands and pressed a kiss upon his lower lip.
He had no defence against Phainon’s tongue flicking out to lave up his front. Wet. His armour shone and his chiton clung to his body, as though he had been swept up in a storm or caught in a downed naval ship.
The Worldbearing Titan has thought up an unusual way of celebrating the Strife Titan’s return from the battlefield.

Ren pulls away with a mournful noise and glares at the twisted beings racing down the hallway towards them. He stands up and draws his sword as Dan Heng refastens his pants and tries to stop the way his legs are shaking.
He does look a little more lucid, Dan Heng thinks, blushing furiously as he watches Ren wipe his mouth off with his free hand then lick the mess off of his fingers. Seems like this really does work to calm him down…

It is, indeed, a very shameless request to ask of someone. Luckily for him, as it always is, Ratio doesn’t quite mind; whether that was because it didn’t matter where piercings were done, art is art and all that, or that he just drank enough glasses of wine to give him liquid courage. Both possibilities are entirely debatable. He hesitates for a second though, yet ultimately decides the best course of action was to begin tugging down the gray sweatpants, letting it pool around his knees.
Fuck it, he might as well drool.
Ratio has a few secrets up his sleeve, on his back, and inside his pants. All in the name of simply appreciating the aesthetics of body art, a gallery of ink painted on flesh and precious gold etched within it, while spreading knowledge along the cosmos.
