    The roaring cheers of the citizens was almost deafening, it made his heart race, as his horse led his troops behind, flowers were thrown in celebration to another victory for the kingdom. He finally gets to return to his lover. His eyes peek from under his hood, he could see the king stand at the steps of the palace with a smile on his face, pride and longing.

     

    He pulls his horse to a stop and lets the King approach. “Our benevolent men, bravery and strength to bring back us the honor of another victory in war!” Porsche silently watched as the king announced to the citizens. Another cheer erupts, and the King approaches him. A gentle hand on his horse’s neck.

     

    “And my heart returns, let me see you, it has been half a year.” The king whispered. Porsche nods and slowly removes his hood, the crowd grows silent. And all Porsche can remember is the fear in his eyes.
