Summary
After the events of Season 1, the Magix Authorities decide to split up the Trix as part of their punishment, sending them to different prisons to serve indefinite sentences. Stormy gets sent to Lighthaven, Darcy is supposed to be sent to Marigold Monastery in Linphea but ends up in the Omega Dimension instead, and Icy gets sent to the Prison of Andros. None of them has any idea where the others are.
Multiple things happen at once. Lord Darkar decides he needs a witch to do his bidding, so he breaks Stormy out of jail to work for him. Darcy crosses paths with Valtor and joins him on his quest for power and revenge. A powerless Icy meets Tritannus, a disgraced triton prince. The sisters must learn how to navigate life without each other, instead by themselves and with new people.
In other words, Icy learns she's capable of love and realizes there's more to life than chasing the Dragon Flame, Darcy listens to herself instead of others for once and makes a deep connection, and Stormy discovers the strength of what everyone else thinks is a weakness and works with (not for) an unexpectedly attractive skeleton demon man. All of this may or may not lead to challenges with their sisterly dynamic.

Summary
For years, Icy thought her heart was a block of ice, until she fell in love with Tritannus and the ice melted. Now, following his betrayal and defeat, she's a wreck. Not only is Icy unable to figure out why Tritannus turned on her out of nowhere right after he activated the emperor's throne, but she still loves him, and she struggles to let him go. Her emotions are out of control, leading to her magic to grow dangerously unstable. Even her own sisters are afraid of her outbursts.
Darcy and Stormy never liked Tritannus for their own reasons, but even they realize it made no sense for him to betray Icy. If there's a way to get him out of Oblivion, they need to find it before Icy destroys everything in her path, including herself. If he's what makes Icy happy, then they have to get him back.
(And maybe, they can find a new goal to achieve in the process, because fighting the Winx for the hundredth time is starting to get old.)
