Max has no idea what birthday kisses are, but his earlier question seemed to make Charles sad. And Max didn't want to make anyone sad, ever. So he decided not to ask. But Charles explained anyway.
“My Maman says that on your birthday you get the same number of kisses as the age you're turning. She always gives me and my brothers kisses on our birthday. Did your Maman not give you your kisses today?”

That's…odd. Charles is usually great with names and faces. Hell, he even remembers the names of his drunken one-night stands and has to do the awkward little half-nod if he ever sees any of them in public. But Oscar…Oscar he cannot recall.

“You start blushing every time you look at Charles, just say something to him. It's getting sad to watch,” Lando gives an exaggerated pout before laughing. Oscar wants to disagree, tell him he's imagining stuff, but if there's anyone he can talk to about this it's Lando. So, he does two unthinkable things. Admit to having a wet dream about another driver, and ask Lando Norris for advice.
Or Oscar can't get Charles out of his head and it's making him feel insane.
