No need to dwell on it.He maintained this position with perfect composure for the rest of the morning.
It was somewhere around the wei hour that his position began, very slightly, to crack.
By eventide, as the light was going gold and shadows grew long across the floorboards, Chu Wanning had constructed a complete and adequate theory of the situation.
The theory was this: Mo Ran was bored with him.
- - - - - - -Some time post-canon, the ranwan have not yet figured out all aspects of their new life.
Mo Ran, helping a village down the river, ends up staying away longer than promised.
Chu Wanning is not happy about this. He goes to fix the situation and, incidentally, his husband.
He does not improve the situation.
Someone needs to come and save Chu Wanning from himself.
