It’s all venom, the way Barty spits out the words, the way Evan’s face holds no trace of fondness. (What is not venom is the past that Barty has tucked near his heart with care, the pericardial cavity doesn’t have the room, but Barty will make it work. It’ll hurt either way.)
(After growing apart leads to growing resentment, Barty would like to ignore Evan Rosier. It's only that he's overtaken him in Charms, and he simply cannot let that happen.)
