“Well yeah, but what I’m saying is-” Paul could sense John wasn’t really listening to what he was saying. There was no point in speaking his mind when John was preoccupied - he’d have no memory of anything he’d said anyway. Might as well been talking to a brick wall.
He watched John light up the bowl and take a proper bong rip - a big one it seemed - and blow out a cloud of smoke that seemed neverending. He looked gorgeous while he did it, too. That might’ve been the worst part.
