Summary

Summary
“Are we under attack right now?” Wonwoo fakes looking around and Soonyoung aims a lazy kick at him under the table, meeting only air.
“You know what I mean.” Soonyoung tilts further into the table, his nose squashing uncomfortably.
He remembers those early days when the shock of first attacks was replaced by the realisation that, yes, this was their new normal and that, no, there was no way to control what was to come. He remembers the waves of panic only quelled by steadfast determination to try and survive, to try and preserve some form of future for themselves. He remembers the first time the announcement that a Kaiju was coming was tinged with excitement, as well as fear.
Wonwoo sighs and closes the book fully. “I thought you were meant to use this time to rest. To heal.”

Like he’s really trying to understand what is going on in Jihoon’s head. “You’d rather stay here, with twelve men who keep pretending to be infected so they have an excuse to kiss you on the mouth.”
“I mean, when you put it like that it sounds bad.” Jihoon winces, but he doesn’t feel particularly ashamed. “Besides, I can always just give the scientist guys some more blood to fuck around with if they really need it.”
“Jesus fucking Christ.” Hyunseok says, digging the heels of his palms into his eyes. “Okay. Alright.”
