Gojo intervenes before she can beat some sense into him. Itadori looks similarly enraged at her choice. There's a comfort, in that. The faux-offence and annoyance that's usually only reserved for your close friends and family, people that you let get on your nerves because they let you get on theirs. It's unusual, for her at least, to have found it in someone so new, a practical stranger.
But she supposes they're as good as her family now, all three of them together for the foreseeable future. It's a realisation that should feel claustrophobic.
But as she watches Itadori laugh, limned in pink against the sunset, she finds herself almost glad.
Or: Nobara, and her very bad, no good, horrible, full of love first year.
