They agreed it would be best for Mafuyu to drive, considering Ena and Kanade didn't have a license and Mizuki was, in Ena's words, 'a danger to anyone unfortunate enough to be on the road at the same time as them' . Mafuyu had never needed them to drive her anywhere, but considering Mizuki was Mizuki she could imagine the experience wouldn't be very pleasant. Her other two girlfriends only confirmed her theory. That's how Mafuyu become the group's designated driver.

Ena paused. While she did admittedly appreciate a rare comment from Mafuyu, gossip wasn't much fun if you didn't go to the same school and those names meant literally nothing to you. However, just as Ena was about to say as much, Kanade chimed in.
"But I thought that Tanabe-san liked Yoshida-san?"
Oh?
"No. Yoshida-san likes Tanabe-san but Tanabe-san doesn't reciprocate."
"Oh. So does Tanabe-san like Suzuki-san then?"
"I don't know."
"Oh. Okay."
"..."
"..."
"Ena and Mizuki haven't spoken in a while. This is peaceful."
That broke Ena out of her reverie real quick.
"Hey! What is that supposed to mean-"
"Haha! Sorry guys!" Mizuki cut in, dutifully, "I think Ena and I were just a bit taken aback by you two talking about this kind of thing. You know, you almost sounded like normal teens just then!"
"Erm…" said Kanade, "Thank you?"
Or, 5 times Kanade and Mafuyu got to act like normal teenagers and the 1 time they showed that they were anything but.
