Both of which are sadly true, too.

Jake, immune to teasing, just shrugs and stretches his hands up, letting one fall around Sunghoon’s shoulders.

All Sunghoon can will himself to do in response is to pull out his weed and roll another joint for them to share, because the universe clearly wants him to not be sober for his next lecture.

Yeosang, an ancient god forgotten due to the global domination of Christianity, is just happy that someone is finally visiting his temple again. If he ends up getting a bit too attached, that's fine too.

Why does he feel like he’s being watched every time he comes here? Maybe he really is losing his mind, or maybe it’s God watching him in Heaven and thinking, “Yep, that kid’s going straight to the boiler room. Damn pagans.”
