In what world does she find a beautiful, intelligent stranger not only willing to play along with her lie for ten minutes to avoid embarrassment, but who actually wants to keep up the ruse for another full day? Did she somehow step through the looking glass when she arrived in Baltimore?
Trinity shrugs. "Well, yeah. It seems fun. Or like I'll at least get a good story out of it. Like, Hey, one time I pretended to date this stranger I met in a hotel and met her whole family at a wedding, it was wild."
"Are you absolutely serious?"
"I mean, I'll workshop it a bit. But yeah."
"No, about doing this."
"Yeah,” Trinity says with a wild grin. “If you want me."
Yolanda nods. This could work. "I do."
yolanda needs a fake girlfriend for her cousin's wedding, and runs into the perfect person for the job at the rehearsal dinner.

Trinity rubs her hands over her face, screaming internally for a second. If she can tell anyone about this it's her best friend.
"She did make a fancy-ish dinner, I guess. It was nice. And she said it was for no reason, but…"
"But what?" Dennis asks, leaning forward across the table. She looks back up at him, at the mischievous look on his face that she might ordinarily describe as knowing.
Fuck it. "She was really weird all evening, and then just before I went to bed she said Oh, by the way. I've been thinking and I decided we should have a baby."
Dennis chokes on his beer, some droplets splashing out onto the wooden surface as he gasps for breath. He pounds on his chest for a second as his eyes pop out of his head and Trinity feels incredibly grateful for this confirmation that she isn't in fact overreacting.
"She what?"
"It's insane!" She says, throwing her hands up for effect. "We aren't married. We don't own a house. I'm still a resident. And she wants me to get pregnant."

Yolanda stands back up, flipping over the test without hesitation. She freezes when she sees reads the result, staring down at the piece of plastic.
"What does it say?" Trinity asks nervously, standing up when she doesn't get a reply. "Yolanda? It's negative again, right?"
Yolanda shakes her head, pushing the test over the counter closer to Trinity. "No, it's not."
The two black lines are aggressively strong, and Yolanda feels as Trinity stares at it in disbelief, a mirror image of her own posture.
"Oh my god," Trinity breathes out, leaning her weight on the counter, dragging her eyes from the test up to meet Yolanda's own. "What the fuck. We're having a baby."
"Yeah, we are," she says, pulling the shorter woman in for a crushing hug, nothing filling her head except Trinity Trinity Trinity as she breathes in the green apple smell of her hair and rubs one hand over the curve of her waist.

Vex found her eyes finding Keyleth more and more these days. It's odd. For the longest time the first and only one she looked for was Vax, but it's different now. She looks for black and red in equal measure. Vex would be lying to herself if she claimed she didn't know what it was. She just wished she saw the light in Keyleth's eyes more like she used to. Wished she would smile more like she used to.
Whatever happened in the Raven Queen's Tomb changed the people she cared for most. Vax was more sure of himself and Keyleth's brow furrowed more, her eyes duller. She was still beautiful, she was always beautiful, Vex just wished she knew how to stop Keyleth from falling wherever she could see her slipping to.
OR
Keyleth's anger is more prevalent and Vex watches the woman she fell in love with struggle to find herself again amidst it. Then Keyleth is proved right and she leaves, taking Vex's heart with her and Vex let her. Vex falls in love with Keyleth over the course of their journey and she will be damned if she lets her go after everything. She won't lose the one thing in her life that has never tried to hurt her.

Vex’s throat is raw with pain and caked with dust. She swallows trying to force some amount of saliva to take the dust with it. She feels Keyleth move in her arms, and as Vex stumbles blindly away from the Malleus Key, she looks down to see Keyleth looking up at her.
“Vex?” Her voice is small and weak, too weak. Vex shakes her head and glances between her face and her surroundings to make sure she doesn’t stumble into anything.
“Save your energy, darling.” She feels Keyleth move her head back and forth in her arms as if to disagree, and Vex has to stop the emotions from trying to move up her throat.
“Vex, I’m not g-going to-” Vex shakes her head forcefully, but her answer is dense with the restraint of someone holding back a sob.
“Stop talking, Keyleth.”
“V-Vex, you have to go… You’re bleeding out, Vex. You have t-to-”
