Summary
“Designation?” the bounty hunter grinds out.
The answer slips easily out of his lips this time. “CC-2224.”
Boba Fett curses, harsh and quiet. His hands are shaking. “Kote?” he whispers, and his voice breaks on the word.
CC-2224 can hear screaming. The comms are silent, and the room is still, and no one else reacts to the noise. And yet… someone is screaming. He can hear it.
CC-2224 expected another routine stop at the Fortress Inquisitorius, staring unseeingly at identical grey walls while Vader tortured Jedi prisoners far below. He certainly didn’t think he'd be thrown back into his mind, back in time, and dragged along with five children determined to save the galaxy one Mandalorian at a time.

Summary
The first time Cody went to war, he was specifically made for it. That meant that no one cared that he was thirteen, that he never saw a paycheck, or that he was, essentially, a product built, bought, and used by the Republic. Cody never got a choice in that war - and he certainly never had a chance. The second time Cody went to war, he made the choice for himself. It did nothing to take away the frustration he felt when he realized that he was, despite everything, still made for a battlefield.
Or, the war still comes and Cody still rises to meet it. A few things change, but far too many stay the same, and Cody refuses to let history repeat itself. He may or may not also figure out who, exactly, Kote is.

Summary
The urge to protect is something ingrained in all of them. The knowledge that leaving a man behind meant leaving a brother to die had been drilled into them since they were old enough to know what being a brother meant.
Rex always joked that Cody had it worst, that the extra training with Alpha-17 and the lessons from Prime always went straight to his heart, not his head, and though he would never let his vod’ika have the satisfaction of being right, Cody knew that he wasn’t exactly wrong either.

Summary
“If the Chancellor ever calls you, don’t pick up.”
“Fox- I can’t ignore the Chancellor.”
“You can and you will.”
“What is this all about?”
“I can’t tell you, and I hope you never understand, but do not ever answer a call from the Chancellor.”
“Fox-“
“This is the last call. Goodbye Kote.”
“Fox!”
That was the last time Cody had spoken to his twin. Looking at the HoloNet, Cody was terrified that he now understood what Fox had meant.Or: Fox calls all of his batchmates and warns them a year in advance for Order 66. He, as someone stationed on Coruscant, can’t escape it, but the others can. Cody disagrees with this sentiment.

Summary
Assigned to Coruscant, Marshal Commander Fox of the 591st quickly realizes that the heart of the galaxy is not the safe, idyllic posting that everyone assumes it is. Instead, it’s a heartless, cruel nightmare that seems intent on crushing him into the ground. If there’s one thing that he knows, it’s that he won’t let a single one of his men die without a fight. And least of all Lieutenant Thire, who seems to be determined to make as much of a difference as possible.
Everything in the galaxy might be trying to break Fox, so it’s a good thing he’s stronger than it. He’s able to do this on his own, no matter what the others tell him. He’ll never break. No matter what. Never. It’s impossible.
… so why does he feel like he’s about to crumble?
Updates every other Friday.
