Summary
Kalim, a major fan of the political fantasy novel "The Snake and the Silken Dagger", suddenly wakes up as one of its most annoying side characters - the Asim heir, the protagonist's former master, whose idiocy almost got him executed. Determined to give his favourite character the happy ending he deserves, Kalim sets out on a mission to befriend Jamil Viper, protagonist of the story and future villain in the making. Surely overturning the tragedy of the original novel can't be that hard... right?

Jamil looked about ten years older, clearly a grown man where just two hours before he was only seventeen. His hair was tied back in one messy braid and thrown over his shoulder. His clothes were drastically different too, bolder and more fashionable than what the servant usually let himself wear. Perhaps most surprising of all though, was the way he looked at Kalim- with warmth and concern in place of the usual irritation.
Jamil was… genuinely and openly worried.

Summary
Most days, Phainon is vaguely, tangentially aware he’s a pretty popular guy. It’s kinda hard not to be when you’re saving the world on the regular. Hell, even his superhero friends think he’s a decent guy to be around! Just ask Castorice, who he has frequent movie nights with, or Aglaea, who’s literally his mom-sister-aunt-something, or Anaxa, who… actually, he would probably throttle Phainon if he heard him call him a superhero, so never mind.
All this to say — he’s generally a likeable guy, right? Then why doesn’t Kingslayer — The Dusk, The Vengeance, The Great Champion of Kremnos — like him?
