Not that Enid was simply an object. No, the werewolf had more than proven herself to be a powerful ally and asset. Not to mention the shared blood they consumed after the battle with Crackstone.

Enid takes it upon herself to be Pugsley’s tour guide for his first semester at Nevermore. And Wednesday’s happy to have the time alone…until she isn’t.

Her daughter sleeps behind her in a cot thin as parchment. Her father’s blood seems still beneath her nails though she has not touched him. The city outside groans under its new queen, Aegon has fled, Aemond has taken Harrenhal, and yet Rhaenyra stands in her stripped room, crownless and terrible, asking for judgment as though Alicent has any right to give it.
Perhaps she does; and perhaps that is the final cruelty.
tldr: the one where they slowly reshape the future of Rhaenyra’s reign, mend what has been broken, and rebuild their own family from the ruins. the slowest of burns, really.
