Summary
The second lieutenant of the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group is known to others only as 'the Caretaker.' A rather enigmatic and highly intelligent member of the family, not much is known about him outside of a select circle of trusted friends and, of course, the Shie Hassaikai itself. But to those who know him, the Caretaker is simply this: a young man who cares for his family more than anything else.
Because the Caretaker is one Midoriya Izuku, and he did not start out that way... at first, he was just a babysitter.

A series revolving around an AU I started in my fic, 'more than you hoped to be.' Originally only intended to be one fic, but it somehow sprung up into two! I might also include some other supplementary bits in this series as well, like scrapped scenes or character profiles for some of the characters in the fics, if people are interested in that sort of thing.

“Yo, Izuku-kun!” The boy smiles down at him- curse his short height- slinging his arm around the only marginally shorter teen to his side. “Me’n otouto here were wondering when you were going to show up!”
The short teen smiles bashfully and brushes a hand through his curly green hair.
Yep. You read that right: green.
Izuku, along with his senpai Amari Kazuo, were among the first wave of people in Japan to be what most people were calling “Quirked.” Thankfully for himself, his “quirk” just seemed to be a mutation- hence the greenish hair. It might be much more visible than other “quirked” people, but it was mild in the long run, especially for something that he could pass off as hair dye.

When a chance encounter with All Might results in an offer the pair can't refuse they decide together they can change the course of history with two of the world's most powerful quirks.
That's assuming the two lunatics don't give All Might a heart attack before he even finishes training them for UA. Nobody said mentoring your brash loudmouth successor and the son of your greatest enemy would be easy.

Summary
Kirishima Eijirou is in the right place at the right time. He steps between Midoriya and Bakugou, saving the quirkless boy from gaining new burns. Izuku, impressed by the boy and his quirk, offers to help him train for UA's hero course after hearing that he wants to be a hero. Kirishima readily agrees and the two start meeting up nearly everyday before and after school. during their training sessions, Kirishima starts to notice Midoriya coming in with different types of injuries. One day, Midoriya shows up late and tells Kirishima something he will never forget. It's then that Kirishima decides he doesn't want to work with or for the people Midoriya was describing. They decide that they want to change things. So what's the next best attention-grabbing thing other than hero work?

Summary
Izuku must learn his place in a broken and cruel world. He must learn the cost of being a hero. He must learn the cost of changing the world to his own image. Sometimes quirks hide until they are triggered. Izuku tasted death and found it lacking, every flavour bitter and lacking spice. In the moments between death and life, he gazed into the howling abyss and it followed him home. Everything he thought he knew about the world is a lie. There are monsters lurking in the dark below, always waiting and always watching.
They wait patiently, waiting for one to sit upon a throne of crystal madness and eternal suffering. They have waited for aeons and will wait until the end of eternity.
They wait for Izuku Midoriya.
