Kind of an Alternative Universe. Sangwoo's aunt, sick of seeing the abuse heaped upon her sister and nephew, calls the police and gets Sangwoos father put into jail. Everything was going to be all right. Two days after the arrest, Sanqwoo's mom has a mental breakdown and attacks her beloved son. Prince Aerion’s voice quietened to something more serious, and all sense of amusement drained from his face as fast as one blows out a candle.

“W-what?” the hedge knight spluttered in disbelief, voice hoarse. He raked his gaze across the whole expanse of Aerion’s face, hoping to find even a sign that the other was joking with him.
