“Sir,” Commander Cody said. He sounded strangled.
Or: The Clone Wars start a week after Qui-Gon dies and Anakin becomes Obi-Wan's Padawan. Burdened with doubts, new responsibilities, and a former slave child to take care of, a twenty-year-old Obi-Wan finds himself adopted by an army of clones. The clones take care of their own, after all—but then again, so does Obi-Wan.

Summary
Hogwarts loved all of her children from the moment they waked into her walls. She saw them all as her responsibility. After all, she had been created for the sole purpose of protecting her babies. Her love, however, did not stop her beloved charges from dying. The hard truth of it was that not every child was loved. Not every child was cherished. And when one of her older children, Albus, had taken the helm of her school, too many others had paid the price, for he was willfully blind to any pain her babies were enduring.
She watched as Albus ignored and systematically decimated any hope left in the eyes of her babies. All that came to an end when a waif of a child walked through her doors.

Harry’s home life? Not great. His pleas for help having gone unheard forced him to keep things hidden. If only he knew that Hogwarts and an old Barmy phoenix were going to destroy the world to save him.

Harry did not want to claim an omega. For one thing, it's a massive responsibility, and moreover, omegas are treated like livestock, which is just not on. When has to claim Theodore Nott as a peace offering, he acquires a new goal in life: he will be nothing like Aunt Petunia.
Theo, meanwhile, can't stop marveling at how lucky he is.
It's not the life either of them planned for. Still, they just might have a chance at happiness together... and perhaps a chance to make the world a better place for omegas while they're at it.
