"What?" Katsuki snaps at Deku, because what the fuck could possibly be this important and he's horrified to hear Deku sniffling on the other side of the line. "What the fuck happened?" Katsuki asks, a little bit softer but now infinitely more worried than before.
"How could you, Kacchan, how could you do that to him?" Deku sobs out and where Katsuki hoped his words would bring some clarity, they only confuse him more.
"Do what to who?" he demands to know and Deku sobs again.
"Hitoshi. How could you cheat on him?"

"I'm—not sure what you mean," Hitoshi then admits, tugging on his sleeve again and Aizawa nods towards the motion.
"That. You were doing better, at least with us, here at home. But you've been covering up head to toe for a few days now and you keep tugging on your sleeves as if you want us to never see your scars again."
"And we figure, you were doing really well before, right, so there has to be a cause for this. Did someone say something? Are you just having a few bad days where everything is harder than before? We just want to know, kiddo, so we can help however we can," Yamada softly finishes and Hitoshi's eyes instantly burn with tears.
"Oh," he whispers out and forces himself to take his hand away from his sleeve.

Hitoshi can't take his eyes off Katsuki and he knows that by now, it's noticeable.
And Neito is not above teasing him for it.
"Him, really?" he almost lazily asks as he leans against the bar next to Hitoshi. "You couldn't have chosen literally anyone else?"
"Like who?" Hitoshi shoots back. "Midoriya?" He gives Neito just enough time to make a face before he goes on. "You?"
The vaguely disgusted face turns into pure horror and Hitoshi simply has to laugh because it's kind of funny.

Summary
There are undeniable nerves churning in Hitoshi's gut. He let Katsuki decide their first scene, mostly because he's still not certain what Katsuki is comfortable with and what not, despite the required reading he had to do and this just seemed safer.
For whom, he's not quite sure, because Hitoshi fears that he would have psyched himself out of a scene if he had enough time to do so, simply out of fear that it doesn't work, that they are not compatible, that neither of them get what they want from it and that their relationship is going to crumble right there in front of him, one measly scene enough to ruin the best thing he ever had.
So, it was much easier to have Katsuki do the planning and then simply trust in him, which is easy.
Trusting Katsuki is something that almost comes instinctually to Hitoshi these days.
