“Who are you?” Agatha asks again, eyes narrowing in alert and summoning sparks of purple from her hands.
The woman’s eyes flicker towards the river before returning her gaze to Agatha. “Rio,” she says, “my name is Rio.” The way she says the name is stiff, as if she’s not used to it.
“Rio…” Agatha drawls, tasting the way the name rolls off her tongue. “That doesn’t really answer my question.”
Rio merely stands and with a flick of her hand, Agatha feels a wave of warmth wash over her. She looks down to find herself dry, void of the water and the biting cold.
“I’ll see you, Agatha Harkness,” Rio waves and walks away.
