Summary
A snowstorm strands the Montreal Voyageurs between road games with too much alcohol, no practice the next morning, and a deeply unfortunate game of Never Have I Ever. Shane Hollander discovers several of his teammates have apparently been attracted to him for years — and drunkenly calls Ilya Rozanov expecting amusement, only to trigger catastrophic levels of jealousy instead.

Summary
He wanted to curl up on the floor. How could he explain that he had just sucked someone else off, but that he still wanted to continue? Only an absolute asshole would do something like that. He was so embarrassed, shame clawing at his insides, and all of it was so awful that he wanted to curl up and die.
And he was also more turned on than he’d ever been in his life. What the fuck?
--
Shane hooks up with his buddy Joe after Ilya rejects him. Ilya turns up at his door immediately after.
It's all, mortifyingly, really fucking hot.

Summary
Shane has always known that he's different. Bad different too, because kids are cruel in their honesty, especially when you're as talented as Shane is. He even makes peace with it (or pretends to). Alone at the top.
And then Ilya Rozanov happens. A natural disaster that enchants Shane from the first minute of the first tape. Lightning in a bottle let loose on the ice, and he's so beautiful that Shane wants to cry.
When they meet for the first time, it's like seeing the sun for the first time, and neither can fight their gravity during draft. Their meeting in the gym changes everything - because Shane is not alone in his obsession, and Ilya never knew how to back down. First names are maybe a lot less scary when you're barely 18 and already halfway in love.
or love at first sight masquerading as teenage obsession. a gym session straight from a boston couch (it makes sense i promise). soulmates (?)

Summary
I like the idea of these ‘sliding doors’ moments between these two guys. They are totally obsessed with each other and I think if they somehow were able to spend more time together without the expectations of hockey or immediately hooking up then I think their obvious ‘like’ for one another could come out in any number or ways.
Fancy seeing you here. What if the two hockey boys ran into each other outside of games when they’re in the same city.

Summary
Will woke slowly, his body lax and the mattress warm beneath his stomach. Something unknown gently pulled him from unconsciousness. He let out a breath, hugging his pillow closer under his chin, ready to open his eyes. But then his brain supplied him with the cause of his interrupted sleep.
A noise.
More specifically, the sound of a pencil dragging on rough paper.
Will jolted to full awareness, eyes blinking open in surprise.
“Don’t move.”

Summary
Yuna Hollander knows her son is different, but she winds up being slightly off the mark about how, and comes to regret that very much.
OR:
Yuna tries to help set Shane up with friends of friends’ daughters. He brushes her off. Or if she pushes, then he’ll go on exactly three dates before it peters out. I’m too busy, he says. You can make time, she encourages, and she means it. He can prioritize his happiness at this point, surely? She has all the compromises he could make with training and promo on the tip of her tongue if he only gives her the go-ahead.
Instead he shrugs and points out that he’s got to keep focus or he might lose to Rozanov in the scoring race (fucking Rozanov!), and that’s the end of it
It’s one more difference. One more thing she can’t help but worry about. David makes her so happy. Who will do that for Shane?
