The next year, Dick wore Tamaranean formalwear beside her: matched opals and not much else.
Then Kara showed up in Argo City upper-caste formal: black opal nanotech covering everything from chin to toe, the House of El crest on her shoulder, not her chest. Showing less skin than anyone in the building and commanding more attention than everyone in it.
Then Diana wore Themysciran battle armor. Then Scott and Barda arrived in the matched formal of two worlds that should have destroyed them. Then Bruce came in a hundred-thousand-dollar tuxedo made of nanoceramic Kevlar that looked like silk.
Then Clark finally stopped wearing a baby suit.
