Five years after Shroud is defeated, Waterboy lives comfortably as a high-ranking SDN hero. The Z-team, now a well respected hero troupe, lives on in something just to the left of glory. Everything is peaceful. Or, at least, as peaceful as it can be.
And then he's flung violently back into the past, forced to watch as old wounds open. Okay. Whatever.
There's really not much he can do without messing up the future, but... maybe there's some comfort he can provide. Some life he can bring to his past teammates' eyes.

“Hey, fire guy!” someone called.
Shit, was he actually on fire? Chad checked his shoulders and forearms. There were wisps of smoke but no fire. He hadn’t done anything wrong. A deep scowl formed, and Chad turned to direct it at whoever called.
It was a hero who looked vaguely familiar, running towards him. He wore a dark blue suit with yellow stripes and a yellow ‘M’ on white armour.
“You’re a hero, right?” he called as he continued to close the distance. He was almost at Chad now.
“Uh,” started Chad.
“I need your help, let’s go!” the hero’s tone was confident and authoritative as he ran right past Chad, waving for him to follow.

“Well…” Mandy says slowly. She hesitates, as if picking several different ways to phrase the unthinkable before settling with: “They, uh. They named you.”

He was not only taken from his known dimension and dropped in a new one, he was also plucked from good old NYC and dropped in LA of all places. Sure he could have tried to figure stuff out by himself, but an old half remembered mention of a cousin in the LA area had him latching onto the notion of connection. Even if it was a distant cousin. VERY distant...

Summary
Robert wasn't sure what he was expecting when he returned to his apartment that night, but it certainly wasn't to find a dishevelled teen standing in the middle of his living room, looking like he ran through all kinds of hell all whilst staring at him like a lost, wet stray.
Nor was he expecting for the two of them to just. Stare at each other for god knows how long. Felt like an hour but was probably closer to five minutes realistically.
After the events of Dispatch, Robert Robertson comes home the next night to discovered a dirty and injured teenager standing in the middle of his living room, and soon becomes a father figure for the kid who desperately needs good parental figures.
Meanwhile Danny Fenton who has been living on the streets for about a month after accidentally revealing himself as Danny Phantom to his parents and was currently being hunted by the GIW, is confused as hell on why some random office worker would just let him chill in his apartment after breaking in. Better than living on the streets at least. Plus, the guy's got a cute dog.

If it weren’t for one of Gotham’s characters breaking out of its feared asylum and wreaking havoc on the city, the circus would have kept a better eye on their equipment. As it stands, Haly is now staring at the empty spot the trapeze equipment is supposed to be in, feeling bewildered and annoyed. Who has any use for trapeze equipment outside the circus? Better yet, how had no one seen the large platforms being moved out of the tent?"

When the trapeze equipment is inexplicably stolen the day before the first performance of Haly’s Circus in Gotham, the members rush to build a makeshift setup that is fairly stable, albeit lower to the ground than it usually is. Therefore, when Zucco sabotages the gear, John and Mary Grayson don’t make an orphan out of their son.
