Summary
Post-12x12. Castiel survived the Lance. Barely. But his vessel won't stop shaking, his Grace falters in discordant notes, and his "I love you" keeps echoing through his True Form—the words tasting of roses. And ash. He meant them. Dean heard them…didn't he?
Now the runes on the shattered Lance whisper temptations. And Dean dodges every attempt Castiel makes to find out if he could ever return those feelings. Castiel is unraveling—wings tattered, Song chaotic, his longing becoming an impenetrable nimbus he can't escape.
If the runes don't destroy him first, love will finish what the Lance began.

Are you in the mood for a little REBELLION?
This 5-chapter story is based on episode 3x11, “City of Angels?” In my story, I reimagine a couple of scenes near the end of that episode and fill in many “missing scenes.”
Summary: Amenadiel honors the deal. Lucifer then embarks on a Heavenly mission. He seeks a lost treasure, relives The Rebellion (as Samael), loses his wings, and, unexpectedly, he loses more. But Mazikeen is at his side, so everything’s all right, yeah?
First, a bit of a reminder about “City of Angels.” In this flashback episode, Amenadiel asks for Luci’s help, and Luci agrees, in exchange for “a blank check.” Here, Luci is about to fill in the blank. My story begins immediately after Lucifer says, “As a wise woman once said to me, if you really want to rebel, move to LA.”

What if their happy ending didn't have to end with the canon ending? (Or: I took an idea from yet another post I saw online to write someone else's headcanon into a fix-it so we can all heal from that finale.)

Wrote this in literally two minutes. It utilizes 95% of the existing (muddled, meaningless MESS of) s3, but gives us an ending that’s actually satisfying and honors the story and the characters.
EDIT, June 2026: I actually wrote a full six-episode finale script, based on this general premise. You can find it by clicking through to the next part of my “Finale Fix-It” series.

They break each other down and they put each other back together again. Around and around and around it goes.
Sort of a long, drawn-out coda to 11x02.

Summary
Castiel slips from his chair to kneel at Dean’s feet. He takes Dean’s hands in his, and there on the floor holding something with devotion, he understands Communion. He understands Eucharist. He understands believing in someone so deeply that to shelter a piece of them within yourself is an act of untempered faith, love and prayer and deep-wide trust.

Dean, Sam, and Jack bring Cas back from the Empty. Some lovely sensory description here.

Summary
After they stop Chuck, Dean and Sam make a promise: one more attempt at bringing someone back, but then that's it, no more screwing around with the universe. The universe isn't done screwing around with them, though, and the Cas that the ritual produces is a real blast from the past. And what is Dean supposed to do? Sacrifice another Cas?
Of course, the alternative is learning to live with this new-old-Cas, and all their combined grief, and all the feelings that he'd been ready to tell his Cas.

Bookmarker's Notes
Dean does a spell to get Cas back from the Empty--and instead pulls out endverse!Cas. Pulls at the emotions, but I end up with mostly negative emotions. Dean choosing this Cas over the possibility of getting *his* Cas back? Sorry, ugh. True, there's an emotional dilemma, but I don''t care: I'd want Dean to want his realCas back, not this version.
