If he had been smart, Wei Ying would have let the yaoguai kill him. He had planned on it, when he first came upon their battle.
But, the cultivator was pretty. And young, barely even a man. He had looked up at death with those scared, golden, pretty eyes.And Wei Ying’s body had moved automatically.
Or: Fox wwx ends up saving a certain cultivator in a pinch, gets whomped by a monster and then taken care of by said cultivator and shenanigans and shape shifting reveals and all that good stuff ensue

Harry isn’t the Boy-Who-Lived, but his parents still died, and Albus Dumbledore, concerned that Death Eaters might seek the boy’s death, cast a powerful charm on him to make wizards ignore him before Harry was left with the Dursleys. Except, with the Elder Wand in play, the charm was far too powerful, and made others essentially forget Harry existed when not directly interacting with him. Sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, Harry lives a contented life with no one either loving or hating him…until the charm breaks on his seventeenth birthday, and he’s suddenly plunged directly into the middle of a living world at war.

"Get away from her!" the girl snarled at Merlin, trying to sidestep Hunith.
"You get away from her!" snapped Merlin. "You're the one waving a sword around!" He didn't have much room to maneuver, and it was ridiculous for him to be hiding behind a woman who was a fraction of his size. But Hunith was clearly trying to stay between them, and he had no particular desire to jump in front of someone who wielded a sword with that much fervor.
"Morgana, listen to me! He isn't dangerous!"
"Are you mad?" Morgana backed up two paces, though she still held her blade at the ready. "That's a bloody dragon!"

Tim Drake is assigned to investigate a ghost cult. Not a big deal, really, until you consider he's sent with Damian Wayne, an assasin who tried to kill him less than a year ago who he is expected to befriend because they're "brothers".
What follows is as much as a mystery as a romance for Tim, and Damian, Dick, and Bruce finally learn actions have consequences- and they can't make Tim fix everything.

The abnormally grainy footage didn't allow lip reading, but body language transmitted well. There was Tim stepping forward, and Damian- he said something, had to from the way Tim bent in pain. There was a back and forth between the two before Tim took another step to the king.
"Some heroes," the king said, "I see only one here. I'll return you, as promised."
To Tim, he said, "a hero was sacrificed, so I must accept.""I want to know what was said between Damian and Tim," Bruce said, "and how to get Tim out. I need you to focus on finding any way to get to him without sacrificing someone."
