After countless nights of begging and pleading, Enid finally convinced Wednesday to get a Nintendo Switch. She was determined to find a piece of modern technology Wednesday Adams would actually enjoy. Enid introduced her to her own favorites; Minecraft, Mario, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, etc. Surprisingly, Wednesday took a liking to the simple farming game; Stardew Valley. Perhaps too much of a liking.

Summary
When Wednesday’s latest murder mystery refuses to cooperate, she abandons her typewriter to investigate the far more interesting threat occupying Enid’s attention: a Pokémon Nuzlocke.
One explanation, several near-fatal battles and a newly adopted digital bat later, Wednesday discovers that Pokémon is not merely a colourful children’s game. It is a merciless campaign of limited resources, permanent death and emotional devastation.

Enid couldn’t remember much in her wolf form. She could remember her friends, a family, and a school but it was all fuzzy like looking through a frosted window. There was also a girl with the skin of a porcelain doll and dark features like a roman statue. The memory of this girl was not like the others. It was clear like the one visible shadow in a dim room. She could remember everything about her; her voice, her scent, her name…

So naturally when she returned to her human form with a throbbing headache and Wednesday sitting at her side pressing a warm cloth to her head as her inner wolf screamed about mates she assumed the girl was her girlfriend.
