Summary
After Enid Sinclair transforms into her alpha wolf form to save Wednesday Addams from being buried alive, she is unable to change back and disappears into the night. When Wednesday and Uncle Fester follow Agnes’s intel, the trail leads not to safety, but to Paris, where Enid has been captured by outcast hunters and listed for auction as a rare American alpha werewolf.
To find her, Wednesday is forced to accept help from two ancient beings hiding behind safer names: Leah, the Crown, and Melody, the Phoenix. Their legend, Ash and Crown, carries old warnings about love, power, cages, and the cost of treating living magic like property. As they infiltrate the hunters’ auction, Wednesday must learn that rescuing Enid will take more than violence or strategy. She must become something the wolf can recognise as safe.
But saving Enid is only the beginning. As Enid struggles to return to human form, the truth behind her capture comes to light: her own family betrayed her, selling her out because they feared what she had become. Amid rage, grief, recovery, and dangerous magic, Wednesday begins to understand the terrifying truth she can no longer bury.
