Summary
After the Battle of New York, SHIELD agent Ragna Einarsdóttir wakes up free, but far from whole. For four days, her mind was not her own, twisted by the Mind Stone and tethered to Loki, the god who nearly brought Earth to its knees. Though the control has lifted, the shadow of his presence lingers.
SHIELD wants her back to work as soon as she's able to work again and hey have Loki. Contained, disarmed, but still dangerous, he's being held under strict surveillance and Ragna is assigned as his handler. It's not trust. It's strategy. She survived his influence once. Now they need her to work beside him.
What begins as a containment strategy slowly warps into something far more complicated. Loki is arrogant, calculating, and unrelenting, but not indifferent. Ragna expected tension. She didn't expect the banter. The restraint. The strange moments of understanding in between the power plays.
As they move from guarded conversations to high-risk missions, lines begin to blur, between hatred and fascination, resistance and surrender. Summary
After another argument with Thor, Loki is wandering the halls of the Statesman one sleepless night when he almost gets taken out by falling crafting tools. After the near-braining, he meets the strange woman who at least seems interesting enough to help pass the time until the Asgardian refugees reach Midgard where he has to make a decision he would rather avoid.
But as the ship continues its journey, everything is not as it seems and it is becoming less certain the ship will ever reach its destination. Heimdall is concerned there is a spy on board, books that should have burned in Asgard's royal library somehow appear on the ship, someone from the kitchen staff keeps sending increasingly detailed memos about something that no one actually bothers to read, and the royal siblings continue to utterly fail at regular conversations. Loki believes the mysterious woman holds the key to at least some of these problems, but the more he learns the more he realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for.
