Summary
That’s the thing about arranged marriages – they push everything too fast, too intense. Even people that might otherwise just be friends, Yuri can’t help but think... what if? What if I spend the rest of my life with this person? What if I never see them again? There’s no in-between, usually. This is the first time Otabek’s been back to Rusiki in over a decade.
“Because I don’t want to marry you?”
“Because you considered me an equal.” Yuri corrects, letting Ariya go again. She dives off the side of the battlements, and for a moment he’s with her as she falls, but then she pulls out again and he’s back on the castle walls. Heart thrumming, head spinning.
“Hang on,” he realises. “You came all the way here with the express intention of fighting me, which means getting to the final stage. That means...”
“If I win, we marry. If I lose, I become your bodyguard.”
Yuri’s actually relieved to see that Otabek understands the rules here, because he seems supremely unfazed by the ultimatum.
“Either way, you’re stuck with me for the rest of our lives.”
“Yes.”
“That doesn’t bother you?”

Summary
At the 2012 Grand Prix Final in Sochi, Victor Nikiforov is finding it difficult to stay motivated. He's no stranger to success, but finds no pleasure in it anymore. Toying with the thought of retirement, Victor is tempted to move on from this chapter in his life and try to figure out what else he could possibly have to offer. One drunken encounter makes leaving the world of competitive ice skating a little more difficult than he thought.
He felt… Meaningless.
The word turned around in his skull as he examined it, familiarizing himself with its connotation before letting it sink in to see if it felt right. It fit like a glove, the impulse reacting to the revelation in a way that made him realize it was true. Was he that dissatisfied with his success? No… that wasn’t it. It was more the tediousness of winning. There were no more goals to achieve--he had broken the world record several times, and won nearly every show he participated in for the last decade. He considered himself a happy person and was grateful that he was able to pursue what he loved with his entire being, but as it stood, if he continued down this path, he had nothing left to work towards that he hadn’t already done. Four times.

Summary
Yuri and Otabek are living together in St Petersburg. Yuri is obliviously in love with his best friend. Otabek is in love with him, too, but prefers to keep his infatuation a secret.
JJ, on the other hand, is sick and tired of seeing his friend suffer when he could obviously be having the time of his life next to the person he loves. So, he decides to help them by sending a text to Yuri from Otabek’s phone while the Kazakh is doing an interview the afternoon after the men’s FS at Worlds in Helsinki.
The fact that it is April 1st doesn’t cross anyone’s mind until it’s a little too late.

Summary
Yuuri Katsuki is an upcoming actor, cast in the role of Christine Daaé, even though he's a guy. He thinks that this won't be too hard, aside from those killer high notes. But, oh, was he wrong. He didn't think that his castmates would be so... interesting. Especially the actor portraying Raoul, Viktor Nikiforov. Yuuri finds himself head over heels for Viktor. But castmate relationships are unprofessional. Right?

So Yuuri waited, felt his heart edge back down from his throat as Victor let him catch his bearings, as he just sat and watched Yuuri calm down, patient even though the time he was paying for was ticking.
“Strip for me, Yuuri.” came his first instructions in the lull of silence, the same words he always got, and this is how it always began.

Summary
“A human,” Yuri observes slowly. Because it is. A human. Dark haired, with fog-dusted glasses and a truly unfortunate number of layers to ward off the autumn chill. He smells vaguely of sea salt: crisp and sharp, the mark of a water mage. Nothing extremely special, otherwise. The closest Yuri explanation can come up with for having been dragged all this way is Viktor deciding to add “Magical humans” to his list of hoard-viable objects. Which, although stupid and a perfect example of Viktor’s terrible life decisions, is still sadly within the realm of his ridiculousness.
The noise Viktor makes is—high and floaty, somewhere between a purr and a chirp, deeply pleased, and sounding entirely out of place on a currently house-sized dragon, even one as elegant as Viktor. For a moment Yuri simply stares, the vibrations of it tingling on his spine. And then his brain makes the leapfrog from point A: Viktor’s obscenely cheerful mood to point B: what is that smile what are those dopey eyes Viktor what the fuck—
What the actual fuck.
“Vitya, that’s a human,” Yuri hisses, whirling, as the whole and appalling picture snaps into place.
