Rumors of DICOMY’s Extremely Upper Management all getting sacked were everywhere. A public shaming would be fitting, Linus thought to himself, but no doubt they'd all slink away with their dry ham and lumpy mash.

    Arthur’s eyes were sparkling, the edges crinkling. He hadn't known exactly what Linus had done until today.

    Sometimes he woke up in bed, felt that Calliope was purring lazily on his stomach, the sunlight shed a soft glow through the windows, the smell of sea mixed in the air; he saw the main house shining under the sun, ivy leaves seemed so fresh and lively. He saw Arthur, walking towards the guesthouse in his somehow both ridiculous and attractive outfit. His face was as bright as the sky above, and every time Linus looked at him his heart seemed to melt a bit.

    All of these made Linus believe his life was too good to ask for anything more.
