Summary
In the tense atmosphere of Hogwarts during Hermione’s sixth year, the Ministry passes a controversial Marriage Preservation Act designed to secure political alliances and maintain control as Voldemort’s influence grows. To both their horror, Hermione Granger and the newly appointed Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Severus Snape, are declared a magically sanctioned match.
Forced into an engagement neither wants, Hermione finds herself navigating the sharp edges of Snape’s bitterness, secrecy, and dangerous position at Voldemort’s side. Snape, meanwhile, views the arrangement as yet another chain placed upon him by a world that only ever demands sacrifice.

Summary
the shadow of war, nothing remains simple—not loyalty, not survival… and certainly not the heart.
During her sixth year at Hogwarts, Hermione Granger is already fighting battles far beyond the classroom. But everything changes the night she finds Professor Severus Snape wounded on the castle grounds, returning from a Death Eater meeting that nearly cost him his life. Forced into silence and secrecy, Hermione becomes the only one who knows the truth of what he endures—and the only one willing to help him survive it.
What begins as necessity quickly becomes something far more dangerous.
As the war with Voldemort tightens its grip, stolen moments in hidden rooms turn into fragile trust, and sharp words give way to something unspoken—but undeniable. With every secret shared, Hermione is drawn deeper into a world of shadows, where allegiances blur and every choice carries a cost.
But loving a man who walks between two sides of a war may be the most perilous risk of all.
Because in the end, trust can be as deadly as betrayal—and some lines, once crossed, can never be undone.Bookmarked by WeAreWorthy

Summary
October 1998. The war is over, the survivors are picking up the pieces, and Severus Snape is trying very hard to leave an Order party without talking to anyone.
He fails.
Two thirds of the Golden Trio find him in the corner with his Ogden's. Potter is missing a shoe. Weasley ends up on the floor. And somewhere in the middle of the chaos, Snape learns that Hermione Granger, the most relentlessly present person he'd ever had the misfortune of teaching, has been standing silent at the back of the room all evening; hiding behind her hair, slipping away before anyone could look at her too closely.
She didn't ask for his concern. She probably doesn't want it. He goes looking for her anyway.
What he finds in the overgrown garden of Grimmauld Place will change the carefully reconstructed shape of his post-war life.
Updates will be posted every Sunday. I try to read and reply to comments as you write them, but sometimes dang life gets in the way. I promise to reply to your kind words with the next update. Pinky swear!
I own nothing. Not the rights to the Harry Potter universe, not to the Cure songs, not to the Killers lyrics. I'm just playing with the world these artists created.
