They've been... Something... For the last couple weeks. There had been a night in their two-bed hotel room that neither of them could sleep, and somehow Kakyoin had migrated to sit on the edge of Jotaro's bed with him while they talked, and then there was a very impulsive, very stupid attempt at kissing.
Jotaro had been flushed redder than Kakyoin's ever seen, stuttering excuses for why he appreciates Kakyoin as a friend but Kakyoin would rather find a nice girl, right?
Kakyoin had, in the one suave move of his life, threaded his fingers into Jotaro's hair with a little more planned intent, and said, "I'm not interested in girls."

The conversation that had led to Caesar uncharacteristically goading Joseph into stealing from their respected instructor eluded him in his memory, but he couldn’t say he regretted it.
