Summary

With the return of the Dark Lord, Severus also suddenly had to work to protect his godson from the threat looming over them; if Draco fell into the Dark Lord’s hands like his father, he would never escape.
Severus is content to allow the obvious problems rising in Potter to be addressed by the boy’s other teachers, and the people who cared for him. If anyone else had walked into the train compartment and taken a perfunctory look, they likely would’ve assumed that Sirius Black was sleeping. He was face down on the grimy bench, lips slightly parted, yielding to shallow but loud breaths, his hair splayed wildly across his back, clothed in layers of undershirts and robes despite the early September heat.
But James Potter was not anyone else, and he understood that Sirius was not asleep. Sirius was in pain.

Summary
As usual summer before third year is really hard…
After an unfortunate incident with Aunt Marge, Harry finds himself staying with Snape and his live-in boyfriend of 12 years.
Only, Snape is just as awful as ever and his boyfriend is really cool and nice and makes Harry feel important… but as time goes on, it’s clear that all is not as it seems. Because Snape is actually… well, he’s not a decent guy, but he does care about protecting children from abuse, apparently.
But his boyfriend… It turns out that not all guys who seem good end up being good in the end. As he watches his professor’s relationship dissolve he can’t help feeling like an awful person for being an active participant in it.
It never once crosses his mind that Harry was being groomed and abused in a grossly different way than he was used to.

“Remus?” Sirius began, cocking his head to the side. His mind was suddenly racing, filled with moments akin to this.
Nights when it was far too hot for any of them to wear shirts, so James, Peter, and Sirius would sleep shirtless, Remus insisting that it wasn’t that hot, and they were all dramatic before crawling into bed, shirt firmly in place.
When they went swimming in the lake and Remus refused to take his shirt off because, as he put it, “I’d rather not freeze my limbs off.”
When Sirius would drag him into a closet somewhere and reach under his shirt to skim his fingers along firm skin, and Remus would pull back, saying they had somewhere to be.
When they were alone in the dorm and Sirius inevitably jumped Remus, causing an imprompto makeout session, which usually ended when Sirius tried to take Remus’ shirt off.
“Why don’t you let me see you shirtless?” he quizzed
