Summary
The story centers around Zed; the Crown Prince of a race called the Blackbloods, who is forced to become King when his parents die in a battle against the Humans. Before he was born, a Blackblood named Tally opened a portal and released a bunch of Demons into Green World which were also known as Lu-Qiri. When he was sixty-two, he and the rest of his people and Lu-Qiri were tricked by the Humans to leave Green World and instead live in a place made of fire and ash called the Plane of Ashes.
And about Zed's family, in season 2, he briefly mentions how Rebb killed his sister and later briefly mentions how his mom and him used to look at the stars, but nothing about his brother or father until season 3 when his brother shows up at the end of the season. I imagined the reason behind his hidden brother was because Corven was the last of his family and he was worried that they'd use Corven for leverage against him. And in season 3, Corven was the one who mentioned their parents and not Zed himself.
So I got to thinking, why is that? Why did Zed never mention his father? Maybe he didn't have the best relationship with his father? But it's all speculation.
