That first immortal back in '87, he could have been, maybe if his life was just a little worse, maybe if he'd grown up with more of a bite, maybe if he had the Teeth for it.
But he wasn't a Butcher.
Instead he was a Guardian and that... that made all the difference.
Eleven heroes carried that name, the torch passed one after the other, sometimes it was an accident, sometimes it was intentional, in Taylor's case, it was out of obligation.
But becoming the Thirteenth Guardian wasn't what she expected and housed in a new mind, their wills made their own, the former heroes that made up that great symbol start to realize that maybe those little accidents weren't accidents at all.

Systlin is appalled by what she finds, but she's used to standing like a rock and making the world change around her. A reckoning comes to Gor, and there isn't a goddamned thing any of the fucking fucks on Gor can do about it.
Systlin is my own OC from my original work. Is she overpowered? Probably but you can't stop me. Look me in the eyes, Goreans and John Norman. I'm the captain of this ship now.
EDIT; apparently this has spawned several other fics where ridiculously OP female protags get thrown onto Gor and react with gratuitous violence, and may I just say; I'm so proud of all of you.

Summary
When Weiss Schnee fell, she didn't die or get transported to some mysterious plane of existence where fairy tales were realized or any other such nonsense. Instead, she became the reflection of her eight (and a half) year old self.
Making use of her knowledge of the future, she and her younger self devise a strategy to prevent the Fall of Beacon, stop Salem for good, and not end up third wheeling for so long this time around. It was perfect, foolproof, a plan worthy of the Schnee name, and any other descriptors that meant it was good.
And when it failed, it somehow spiraled into her being put on top of the world.

A time travel break-it where time travel makes everything worse and Weiss somehow ends up on top because of it.

When Weiss goes knocking on the door to her sister's office, she's not surprised at what she discovers going on behind it.
